DESCRIPTION:I am pleased to announce the “2025 Invitational Woodfire Workshop” sponsored by Tsugaru Kanayama Pottery and myself in  Goshogawara\, Aomori\, Japan.  This workshop will take place in October\, 2025 at Tsugaru Kanayama Pottery. \nBeginning 2002\, over 130 ceramic artists and potters from around the world have been selected to participate in similar woodfire programs at Kanayama. The programs focus on the exchange of techniques and ideas about ceramic art and wood fire. By working together and freely sharing information\, the sponsors seek to encourage mutual understanding and cooperation among potters throughout the world.  Past programs can be view at: www.makigama.org
