These works use glazes I modified to create massive cratering (usually considered a glazing flaw). After melting, gases within the glaze and silicon carbide create bubbles “defects”. When cooled rapidly, the craters do not have time to flow.
This pottery is fired to a lower temperature and is NOT food safe, dishwater safe, or microwave safe
