I will be featuring my highly textured vases. The Sun Flower vases pictured are examples. They are in national and regional museums in Asia and Europe. I will also feature a new series of crater-glazed and crackle pieces in his large gallery space.

June, 2026 Based in Geneva, the International Academy of Ceramics is the principal organization representing the interests of ceramists worldwide. Lee was elected a member of the academy in 2019.

I will be holding my annual winter open studio at 16 Coal Mine View, Portola Valley, CA from 10am to 5 pm on Saturday and Sunday, December 6 & 7, 2025.

I am pleased to announce the “2024 Select Woodfire Workshop” sponsored by Tsugaru Kanayama Pottery and myself in  Goshogawara, Aomori, Japan.  This workshop will take place in October, 2024 at Tsugaru Kanayama Pottery.

Beginning 2002, over 130 ceramic artists and potters from around the world have been selected to participate in similar woodfire programs at Kanayama. The programs focus on the exchange of techniques and ideas about ceramic art and wood fire. By working together and freely sharing information, the sponsors seek to encourage mutual understanding and cooperation among potters throughout the world.  Past programs can be view at: www.makigama.org
