Winter Outdoor/Indoor Open Studio 2024

I will be holding my annual winter open studio at 16 Coal Mine View, Portola Valley, CA from 10am to 5 pm on Saturday and Sunday, December 7 & 8, 2024.

I will be featuring new highly textured, colorful work and my new line of crater-glazed pieces.  I will displaying a few woodfire pieces I made during my visit to Japan this fall.  Come see what's new.

I am pleased to announce the “2024 Select Woodfire Workshop” sponsored by Tsugaru Kanayama Pottery and myself in  Goshogawara, Aomori, Japan.  This workshop will take place in October, 2024 at Tsugaru Kanayama Pottery.

Beginning 2002, over 130 ceramic artists and potters from around the world have been selected to participate in similar woodfire programs at Kanayama. The programs focus on the exchange of techniques and ideas about ceramic art and wood fire. By working together and freely sharing information, the sponsors seek to encourage mutual understanding and cooperation among potters throughout the world.  Past programs can be view at: www.makigama.org
